Job Summary:
The Business Analyst, Operations will be an IT employee who is 100% co-located with our Operations Team and with their guidance will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing our operational processes. This individual will work to collect and identify inefficiencies, propose improvements, and implement solutions that enhance productivity and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Business Analyst, Operations will be an IT employee who is 100% co-located with our Operations Team and with their guidance will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing our operational processes. This individual will work to collect and identify inefficiencies, propose improvements, and implement solutions that enhance productivity and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Produce detailed reports and dashboards to support decision-making processes.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate current operational processes as a member of the Operations Team and identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including finance, marketing, and customer service, to understand their needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of operational strategies and initiatives.
- Project Management: Lead and support operational projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
- Communication: Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by staying updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in operational analysis.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis, statistical methods, and business intelligence tools.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau) and ERP systems.
- Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing projects and leading cross- functional teams.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in an easily understandable manner.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- The position may require travel to various global locations as needed.
- Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to adapt quickly to changes in the operating environment.
- Experience with Lean methodologies.
- Knowledge of the industry and market trends.
- Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).
- Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Data Science, or a related field.
- A master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a business analyst role, preferably within operations or a related area.
